It’s all in our name: decentralized finance meets lovable pups. DeFi + Fido = DeFido. Woof!
DeFido's story begins with a viral tweet from Coinbase in 2021: “Floki, meet DeFido". As the world fell in love with that adorable Frenchie, a project was newly started. Abandoned by its initial owner, the community stepped in to save this pup back in 2021. DeFido migrated to Base on March 7th, working to bring people together by working with DeFido himself.
DeFido is a collective of people who are passionate about a world where decentralized finance creates value, fosters community, and unleashes creativity.
We believe in radical transparency and putting financial power into the hands of people. But we also know that the potential of DeFi won’t be realized until everyone can access it. That’s why we’re prioritizing education, community building, and ease-of-use across all our tools.

DeFido's mission is to build a sustainable and accessible platform for DeFi on Base that creates value through accountability, innovation, education, community and, of course, memes.

DeFido is much more than a crypto token; we're exploring the possibility of developing an ecosystem of dApps exclusively for Base, all powered by the DEFIDO token. 1% of every transaction goes straight into providing automatic liquidity. This ensures smoother trading experiences and stable prices, so you can trade without the hiccups that can plague other tokens.

Defido is all about growth and innovation. That's why 3% of all trading fees are allocated to project sustainability. These funds go directly into the development of new dApps, ensuring that Defido continues to be a dynamic force in the Base ecosystem.

Install & Configure Wallet
Coinbase Wallet: Install the Coinbase Wallet extension for your browser and create or import a wallet.
Trust Wallet: Download the Trust Wallet app and set up your wallet. Tap the icon in the top-right corner, and select Base.

Add Funds to Your Wallet
Deposit sufficient cryptocurrency (ETH) into your wallet. You'll need enough to cover both the purchase and potential network fees. You can purchase crypto directly through Coinbase Wallet or Trust Wallet, or transfer it from another exchange like Coinbase. You can also use the Base bridge to transfer crypto from the Ethereum Network to Base.

Connect Wallet to Uniswap
Coinbase Wallet: Go to the Uniswap dApp, click on "Connect Wallet", and select the Coinbase Wallet tab. Enter your Coinbase Wallet password to unlock and finish the connection process.
Trust Wallet: Navigate to the Uniswap website using Trust Wallet's DApp browser. Your wallet should automatically connect.

Swap and receive your tokens
In Uniswap, select your input token (likely ETH) and Defido as the output token or click here to import the token directly. Input the amount you'd like to swap for Defido tokens. Uniswap will automatically calculate how much Defido you'll receive based on your input. Confirm the swap and finalize it through your wallet.

Make sure you have the cryptocurrency you want to bridge into your wallet. You'll need enough to cover both the amount to bridge and potential network fees. You can purchase crypto directly through MetaMask or Trust Wallet, or transfer it from another exchange like Coinbase.

Connect Wallet to Base Bridge
Coinbase Wallet: Go to the Base Bridge, click on "Connect Wallet", and select the Coinbase Wallet tab. Enter your MetaMask password to unlock and finish the connection process.
Trust Wallet: Navigate to the Base Bridge website using Trust Wallet's DApp browser. Your wallet should automatically connect.

Bridge and receive your tokens
Once you have completed all steps before, you can now enter the amount of ETH you want to bridge over to Base. With this done, just click on "DEPOSIT ETH" and a Coinbase Wallet window will open. Accept that transaction and you will soon find your Eth on Base! Congratulations!
